October in Lewes builds towards one night. Glyndebourne opens its autumn season on Wednesday 14 October, Seaford Bonfire lights up Martello Fields on Saturday 17 October, the Depot runs a Halloween season with Ben Wheatley in person on 29 October, and the district’s bonfire run reaches Lewes itself on Thursday 5 November.
